Location: Either Gauteng, Cape Town or Hilton, Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa (work from home arrangements may be available for the right candidate and subject to employer’s sole discretion)

SAIL International is a niche tax consulting and advisory firm founded in 2002. We have offices in the UK and South Africa. We provide cross-border tax advice to individuals and SMEs operating in various countries with a focus on the UK.

Job Objective
  • Provide professional cross-border tax advice
  • Manage client relationships
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for provision of tax advice across multiple jurisdictions (with an emphasis on the UK)
  • Responsible for maintaining client relationships and coordinating with internal SAIL staff to provide a variety of services to the client
  • Responsible for the preparation of client reports, calculations, tax schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintaining the company’s tax database
  • Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
  • Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits
  • Make sure that clients comply with local and foreign tax regulations
  • Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
  • Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes

Internal / External Cooperation

  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
  • Candidate will be able to show a willingness and ability to research and learn new tax legislation and practical applications
Job Specifications
  • Proven practical experience in client consulting, tax advisory and preparing tax reports from source documentation.
  • Willingness to travel (where necessary).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good excel capabilities (modelling will be required).

Candidate will be required to do a series of tests as part of the recruitment process including inter-alia a practical consult, technical assessment and psychometric assessments.
